Today the presentation of the Plan for Sustainable Energy of the Region of Valencia 2020 (PESCV2020) was carried out by the conseller Mr Rafael Climent and the director of the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE) Ms Julia Company.
Among the basic principles of PESCV2020 we find the reduction of energy consumption, boostment of self-consumption, improvement of the competitiveness of Valencian companies through the introduction of more efficient technologies to reduce energy bills, the incorporation renewable energy into buildings of the Generalitat and the reduction of the environmental impact, in particular greenhouse gas emissions.
As explained, the Plan sets all objectives and measures in terms of energy efficiency, renewable energy and self-consumption in the Region of Valencia until 2020.
It is broken down into four major areas, each one with a specific plan.
One of the main objectives of the Renewable Energy Plan is to achieve an electricity production with renewable energies of 5,963 gigawatt hours in 2020 and coming at least 50% of all electrical power in our territory from a renewable origin.
